The short version
I collect your name and email only when you hand them to me — by requesting the checklist or sending a message. I use them to send you what you asked for and to talk with you about your data problems. I do not sell your information, I do not rent it, and I do not trade it. You can leave the list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, and I will delete your record on request.
Who is responsible for your information
This website, doblersolutions.com (the “Site”), is operated by Dobler Consulting, Inc., a Florida corporation (“Dobler Consulting,” “I,” “me,” or “we”). Dobler Consulting is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
Mailing address: 550 N Reo St, Ste 300, Tampa, FL 33609
Email: legal@doblersolutions.com
What information I collect
Information you give me
- Checklist requests. Your name and email address when you request the Mid-Market Analytics Readiness Checklist.
- Contact messages. Your name, email address, and anything you choose to write in the message field — including company details you volunteer.
- Correspondence. Emails, LinkedIn messages, and call notes exchanged if we go on to discuss your business.
Information collected automatically
- Technical request data. IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps — logged by the Site’s hosting and security provider as part of serving and protecting the Site.
- Email engagement. If you are on the mailing list, the email platform records whether messages are delivered, opened, and clicked.
I do not ask for, and the Site’s forms are not designed to collect, sensitive categories of personal information such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, health data, or biometric data. Please do not include such information in a message.
Why I use it
- To send you the resource you requested and confirm it arrived.
- To reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, discuss a possible engagement.
- To send occasional emails about analytics, data architecture, and related work — where you have asked to receive them.
- To understand which articles and resources are useful, in aggregate, so I write better ones.
- To keep the Site available, secure, and free of abuse.
- To meet legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims.
I do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and I do not profile you for those purposes.
Legal bases for processing (UK and EU visitors)
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR / EU GDPR applies to this processing and I rely on the following bases:
| Activity | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Sending the checklist and marketing emails | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — withdrawable at any time |
| Responding to an enquiry | Steps prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Site security, abuse prevention, server logs | Legitimate interests in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Record retention, tax, legal claims | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
Where I rely on legitimate interests, I have considered whether those interests are overridden by your rights and freedoms, and you may object as described below.
Who else handles your information
I use a small number of established service providers. They process personal information on my instructions under contracts that restrict their use of it. I do not disclose personal information to any other third party except as described in this policy or as required by law.
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) | Website hosting, content delivery, security and bot mitigation | IP address, request metadata |
| Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) | Form processing, list management, email delivery and engagement reporting | Name, email, message content, IP, email opens and clicks |
| LinkedIn (Microsoft Corporation, United States) | Advertising and, only if you submit one, LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms | Name, email, job title, employer — as held in your LinkedIn profile |
I may also disclose personal information where I am legally required to do so, where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dobler Consulting or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case the recipient remains bound by this policy.
Cookies and tracking
As of the effective date above, the Site does not run advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or cross-site tracking pixels. The only cookies that may be set are strictly necessary ones placed by the hosting and security provider to route traffic and distinguish humans from automated abuse, and cookies set by the embedded form platform to operate the forms themselves.
If I later add web analytics, an advertising pixel, or similar technology, I will update this policy and, where consent is legally required, present a consent mechanism before those technologies load.
The Site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because no consistent industry standard for honouring them exists. It also does not currently need to honour Global Privacy Control signals, because it does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under United States state privacy laws.
Advertising and LinkedIn
I may run advertising on LinkedIn and Google that points to content on this Site. If you submit a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form, LinkedIn passes the profile fields you confirm to me, and I handle them exactly as described in this policy. LinkedIn’s own handling of your data is governed by LinkedIn’s privacy policy, not this one.
How long I keep it
- Mailing list records: until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, after which a minimal suppression record is retained so that you are not re-added by mistake.
- Enquiries and correspondence: for the duration of the discussion and for a reasonable period afterwards, to maintain business records and defend potential claims.
- Server and security logs: for a short period determined by the hosting provider’s standard retention.
Where retention is required by tax or other law, that period governs.
International transfers
Dobler Consulting operates in the United States, and information you provide is processed there. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, this means your personal information is transferred outside your jurisdiction. Where that occurs, transfers are made under appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum, where relevant) implemented by the service providers listed above, or under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where a provider participates in it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information I hold about you and receive a copy.
- Have inaccurate information corrected.
- Have your information deleted.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Receive your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already took place.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these, email legal@doblersolutions.com or use the contact form on the Site. I will respond within the period required by applicable law — within one month for UK/EU requests, and within 45 days for requests under United States state privacy laws. I may need to verify your identity before acting, and I may decline requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or that applicable law does not require me to fulfil.
You may also unsubscribe from any email using the link in its footer, which takes effect without needing to contact me.
If you are in the UK or EEA and believe I have handled your information improperly, you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office. I would appreciate the chance to address it first.
No sale or sharing of personal information
I do not sell personal information, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act and comparable state laws. I have not done so in the preceding twelve months, and I do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under sixteen.
Security
Data is held with established providers using encryption in transit, access controls, and multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts. That said, no method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send confidential business information through the Site’s forms.
Children
The Site is a professional resource intended for business audiences. It is not directed to children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has provided information, contact me and I will delete it.
Third-party links
The Site links to other websites, including LinkedIn and the sites of companies I mention. I am not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them. Read their policies before providing information.
Changes to this policy
I will update this policy when practices, providers, or the law change. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes affecting how I use information already collected will be communicated to the mailing list before they take effect.
