General information, not advice for your company — and full disclosure of the interests behind it.

Effective August 5, 2026 · Dobler Consulting, Inc.

The short version

Everything published here is general information drawn from forty years of building data systems. It is not consulting advice for your company, and reading it does not make you a client. I have an ownership interest in the products I write about, and I say so. Other people’s results are not a promise of yours.

General information only

The articles, checklists, frameworks, and commentary published on doblersolutions.com (the “Site”) are provided for general informational and educational purposes. They describe patterns I have observed across four decades of enterprise data work. They are not tailored to the facts of your business, your data estate, your contractual obligations, or your regulatory environment.

Data architecture decisions depend heavily on context that a public article cannot know. Evaluate anything here against your own circumstances, and get qualified advice before acting on it.

No professional or consulting relationship

Reading the Site, downloading the readiness checklist, subscribing to emails, connecting on LinkedIn, or exchanging messages with me does not create a consulting, advisory, fiduciary, employment, agency, or professional relationship of any kind between you and Dobler Consulting, Inc. or Peter Dobler.

An engagement exists only when it is set out in a signed written agreement identifying scope, deliverables, and fees. Until then, nothing said here should be relied on as advice given to you, and no duty of care arises. Information you send through the Site is not confidential unless a non-disclosure agreement is in place first.

Not legal, financial, tax or accounting advice

Some material on the Site touches on subjects adjacent to regulated professional advice — preparing data for due diligence, valuation implications of clean reporting, governance obligations, and similar topics. None of it is legal, financial, investment, tax, accounting, or securities advice, and it must not be treated as such. Consult a licensed attorney, accountant, or financial adviser in your jurisdiction before making decisions in those areas, particularly in connection with a transaction.

My commercial interests — stated plainly

You should know where I stand when you read what I write:

  • I am the founder of Dobler Consulting, Inc. and a co-founder of Dobler Data Solutions.
  • I have an ownership interest in Dobler Insights, the analytics-as-a-service offering that Site content sometimes refers to. When I recommend an approach that Dobler Insights happens to deliver, I benefit commercially if you buy it.
  • Content on the Site is published to build a professional reputation and, ultimately, to generate business enquiries. That is its purpose, and I would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
  • I do not currently accept payment to feature or endorse third-party products, and the Site carries no paid advertising or affiliate links. If that changes, the material connection will be disclosed at the point it is relevant.

None of this makes the analysis wrong — but you are entitled to weigh it knowing the interest behind it.

Results and forward-looking statements

Statements about timelines, outcomes, cost savings, or what a company can achieve reflect my experience and reasonable expectations. They are not guarantees, warranties, or predictions of your results. Outcomes in data work depend on data quality, organisational commitment, executive sponsorship, existing systems, and factors outside anyone’s control. Your results will differ.

Accuracy and currency

Content is prepared carefully and is believed accurate when published. Technology, vendor capabilities, pricing models, and regulatory requirements change quickly, and articles are not systematically revised as they do. No representation or warranty is made as to the accuracy, completeness, adequacy, or currency of any content, and no obligation is assumed to update it. Where a statistic or benchmark is cited, verify it at source before relying on it commercially.

Third-party products and trademarks

The Site discusses third-party technologies including Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure, Power BI, SQL Server, Oracle, SAP, and LinkedIn. All product names, logos, and brands are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification, description, and commentary only. Such use does not imply affiliation, partnership, sponsorship, certification, or endorsement by those owners, in either direction, unless a specific relationship is stated in writing.

External links

Links to external websites are provided for convenience. I do not control, monitor, or endorse their content, products, or practices, and I accept no responsibility for them. Following an external link is at your own risk.

Track record and references

References to past work — including the 2021 sale of Dobler Consulting Services, LLC to Spinnaker Support, and engagements described on the Site — are historical statements of fact about completed events. They are illustrative of experience and are not representative of what any other company will achieve. Client names, where used, appear with permission or reflect information already in the public record.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOBLER CONSULTING, INC. AND PETER DOBLER ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE — INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS — ARISING FROM ANY RELIANCE PLACED ON MATERIAL PUBLISHED ON THIS SITE, WHETHER BY YOU, ANYONE INFORMED OF ITS CONTENTS, OR ANY AUTOMATED SYSTEM THAT REPRODUCES IT.

This section operates together with, and does not limit, the disclaimers and liability provisions in the Terms of Use.
